    Paddy White was a famous runner. He won the Herald-Cup. He ran from Dublin to Ballbriggan a distance of nearly 20 miles.
    George Hoey was a famous wrestler and weight thrower.
    John Rooney was a famous hurler. He used to hit the ball from one goal-post to the other.
    Edward Toole was a very famous wrestler.
    In 1916 thirty two men left Lusk to fight for Ireland. My father was one of them. One of them was killed. His name was Tom Rafferty.
