  1. Penal Times
    It is said that there was a convent underground at Kenure during the Penal Days. It is also said that there was a road to the convents in North William Street Dublin underground also. Some people say that there is a road from the convent in Kenure to the Ladies' House down along the Skerries Road.
    It is also said that there is a place called the "Nuns Lane" along the Skerries Road. Some people have often said that nuns have been met in that lane.
