    Long ago there was a story told of how a very wonderful thing happened outside the town of Rush.

    Long ago there was a story told of how a very wonderful thing happened outside the town of Rush. The story runs as follows: -
    near Baldungan Castle there is a graveyard where St. Mavee and S. Mavo were buried. As it happened one day a man was ploughing up the field where the graveyard was a voice was heard saying "stop that ploughing". The ploughman replied "St. Mavee, St. Mavo I'll plough this furrow before I go", and behold the ground opened up and the man and plough were swallowed up by the earth.
