    Home Made Toys.
    (Skerries Co. Dublin).
At the present time in Skerries the boys do not make many home made toys. Some of the boys can make a spinning top out of a spool. They get a spool and pare it out into the shape of a top. After this they put an nail in the bottom of the top.
Another home-made toy is a lantern made out of a turnip.
They cut the turnip in two halves and hollow them out.
