    Holy Wells
    Skerries Co. Dublin
    There are very few "Holy Wells" about Skerries. There are only three which are about two and a half miles from the town itself. One of them is on the west side of the town called "St. Moibhi's Well." The other two are situated in the mainland of Loughshinny. Both of them are called "St. Catherine's Well" because it is said that St. Catherine washed her face in one of them and washed her feet in the other one, and then she blessed them. It used to be a custom for the people of Loughshinny to go
