  1. The Care of the Feet.
In Skerries there are five shoemakers- Halpin of Holmpatrick, Halpin of Church street, Grimley of little Strand Street, Murray of church Street and O'Leary of Thomas Hand Street.
Halpin of Church Street, Grimley and Murray make and repair shoes, but the others repairs only.
Halpinof Church Street and Halpin of Holmpatrick are bothers, whose father and grandfather were shoemakers.
If "feet-water" (water with which feet has been washed) is left in the house overnight it is supposed to be unlucky, as someone will become sick.
