- Long ago there was a man living in England. He had a family and he got some of them Baptised there. He came to Ireland and he got some of them Baptised here also. One day he was digging potatoes and a priest came along. The priest asked him what sort of potatoes was he digging. The man said they were raw ones. The priest said, "you are very smart indeed," but you might not know your Cathechism half as good, what is Baptism "Well," said the man, "it is seven and six pence in Ireland, and it is only two and six pence in England."
