  1. The Irish ran all the Danes out of Ireland except two. Those two were father and sons. Those two Danes had a secret, but they would tell no one what it was. At last the Irish caught them, and they brought them out to Ballyholly bay to drown them. When they had them out in the middle of the lake, the Irish asked them to tell the secret.
    The Danes saud they would never tell. Then the father said "drown my son and then I will tell the secret." When they had the son drowned the father said, "you can drown myself now as I will never tell.
