- Once upon a time there lived a poor couple at the edge of a bog. They lived in a small cabin, some times. They had not a bit to eat. The woman was always complaining.
One morning when she got up there was a very bad fire and there was not a bit of food to be got anywhere. She looked for some tea there was not a grain to be got. She looked for [sm] some bread and there was not a crumb to be found.
Then she turned towards the fire and what did she she but a small little fairy. He was dressed in a small red coat and a small white hat. He told her he would give her three wishes. The woman was delighted and she said "I wish there was a pan of sausages cizzling on the fire" she had not the word word said when she saw the pan on sausages on the fire.(continues on next page)- Informant
