  1. There is only one holy well in my district. It is about half a mile from my house. It is situated at the end of a small rocky field. It is about four feet deep and two feet broad. There has been no water in it for the last four years. Just over it there is a big bush growing and since the water disappeared out of the well no leaves came on the bush.
    Long ago monks used come and make stations round the well and throw stones into it.
