  1. Sore Throat : For sore throats roasted salt is an old fashioned remedy. Put the dry salt on a dry pan stirring it all the time until it is quite hot. Then turn it into an old woollen stocking and tie it round the throat, and after a short time the soreness will depart.
    Burns : A simple ointment for burns is unsalted butter mixed with some chalk. Spread it thickly on the burns the moment they occur.
    Ringworm : A famous old cure for ringworm is, some tar mixed with beeswax.
    Headaches : An old fashioned head-ache remedy is a cup of strongly made tea without any sugar.
