  1. Once there was a man coming up at Commaun bridge. He saw lights and heard fairies singing in the river. He did not heed this but when he went home. When he was on the street going into the house he looked behind him and saw a lot of men on horse back. He went into the house and after a while he went out to see if they were gone. When he went as far as the gable of the house. some thing spat into his face and disappeared at once. He never saw it again.
