On that Cross my sins have nailed Him..

To that Cross my sins have nailed Him.
Yet he bleeds and dies for me.
    God have mercy and compassion.
    Look with pity upon me.
Between the stirrup and the ground.
I mercy sought and mercy found.
If all the good people were clever.
And all clever people were good!
The world be nicer than ever.
We thought that it possibly could.
