  1. Two men went to a house for poteen. When they were going they said they would not take much. But when they went to the house, they got drunk. When they were coming home they were coming home they were brought in the bogs by fairies. The men turned their caps inside out. They also said a prayer and as soon as they did so, they were brought out on the road. They were as good as ever. They neve saw the fairies again and never got drunk again either.

  2. Once a man went to the fair of Westport. When he got there he bought a fine horse. On his way home he met ghosts and they took the horse from him. The man went home and went to bed sad but when he arose in the morning he found the horse standing outside his door.
