  1. Once upon a time there lived in Louisburgh a very old and furious woman. Her name was Caitlín. Every month she used to collect a penny of every person that was in a special sodality. This money was given to a priest to say a mass for the sodality. Caitlín had a sister married to a drunkard. One night he was so drunk that the people thought that he would die.
