    A very well known place is "Stheenoge". This place is very wet and rushey. The "Castle Hole" is another well known place. It is said that it was here that the prisoners from the Castle were drowned.

  2. On the eastern side of the Parish of Kilmaclasser lies the village of Slingan. There is a certain place in my father's land locally known under its Gaelic name of Pairc An Tobair. It got its name from a fine big well that is there.
