    At one time there was only one family living in Shramore.
    He was a man named O'Malley, and he lived somewhere near what is locally know as the "Joining of the Rivers."
    A man named MacIntyre and a man named Reilly went to join the French when they landed at Killala and are believed to have taken part in the "Races of Castlebar."
