  1. Mí an Pósadh
    -----------
    In the month of the "pósadh" or "shraft" any house in which there would be any boy or girl marriageable that would be afraid of being stolen or "fúadí" it was the custom with the marriageable girls to make up a decoction to save them from being "fúadí" or stolen. The parents knew that such was going on and were not against it, as they thought their daughter would make a better marriage by being "fúadí" or stolen.
