  1. When poteen is been made the first glass that comes from the still should be thrown out into the wind for the fairies. One time a number of young fellows were making poteen somewhere round the fort of Neiphin Mor and they forgot to throw out any glass of the liquid to the fairies. Out late in the night they began to notice a lot of frogs coming round the place and the place was swarming with them. They were in thousands. The boys believed that the fairies had sent the frogs in revenge for the boys forgetfulness.
