    Signs of the Weather
    1. If Candlemans Day be bright and clear there'll be two winters in the year
    2 A New Moons fog never dies with the drought
    And an old moons fog never told the truth
    3 A fog with a new moon is a sign of good weather and a fog with an old moon is sign of bad weather
    4. If a new moon lies well on its back its a sign of good weather but if it lies sideways its a sign of bad weather as the water will fall out of it
    5. A circle far out from the moon is a sign of rain but if the circle is in close round the moon its a sign of hard weather
    6. A rainbow at night during broken weather is a sign of the weather taking up
    7. A red sky at night is the shepherds delight
    8. A red sky in the morning is the shepherds warning
    9. White fleecy clouds low down on the side of Crough Patrick with the summit showing clear is a sign of very good weather
    10. When the pied wag tail comes to the door its a sign of very bad weather
