  1. One time a lime man went to Donegal Town to sell a cart of lime and on his return home again he met with Colmcille on the way. Colmcille asked the man for a lift and the man told him to step on.
On the way they came to a bar or Public house and as the day was cold the man stopped the horse and went inside for a couple of glasses of whiskey. Colmcille stayed outside and watched the horse.
While the man was inside it started to rain and when water falls on lime it starts to burn. Colmcille was on the bare feet and the lime burned them.
On this occasion he said that a lime man would always be jolly but would never be rich.
