  1. There is a big stone lying in a field about one hundred yards from our school.
    It is also near Aughaclay chapel.
    There are five finger marks on this stone. A story is told about it. Here it is:-
    Once upon a time a giant was standing on top of Sliab Sneact.
    This big stone was lying in his way. He "stooped" down and lifted it up and threw it with force that it lit in a field in Aughaclay.
    There is another story told about a stone that is at the Strand Steads.
    Here it is:-
    Once upon a time two giants were fighting. One of them was from the Isle of Doagh and the other was from Malin.
    The giant from the Isle of Doagh threw a big stone at the other giant. The stone fell at the edge of
