- There are four standing stones in this district. They stand in the middle of fields. Some people say there are tracks of a man's hands on some of them.
They have been there for generations no one knows how they came to be there.
St. Patrick's cross stands near Carndonagh. - There are some old monuments in our locality. There is a large monument nearly as large as a tree erected in memory of an ancestor of the Harvey family. There is a round rock in Glacknabrad and there is the of a hand and foot on it. It is said to mark the remains of an old Friary. There is another rock at Malin and there was a man killed on it and there is blood on it still.
