A man name John Starrett of Killian claims to have seen a fairy a good number of years ago.
One night he was out seeing to his cattle etc. about the yard. A tiny figure in a red jacket appeared, ran round a creel and disappeared.

There is a thatched house in Glacknabrad, near the hill road from Malin town to Malin Head about 2 miles out of the town. It is now vacant. The last three people who died in it were man, wife and son. They died shortly after each other.
Before each death lights were seen around the fields and about the house.
There are holly bushes growing around it. They are said to be a hiding place for the fairies.
