  1. A man was coming along the moss road from Buncrana. He had a horse and jaunting car. He met a man. When the horse came abreast with this man he stopped and tried to turn in the road. Finally he succeeded in getting the horse to pass. The driver, when past, looked round, but there was no one to be seen. The horse was covered with sweat, though he had not been travelling fast.

  2. A man used to steal turf every Sunday night. He took the horse and cart to carry them home.
    One dark night he was going as usual to steal. The horse stopped at a certain spot on the road and wheeled round, obviously in great fright. The man never again went to steal turf.
