- Some people built a house in Glenburn near Cnockglass with stones quarried from a "gentle knoll" (fairy hill).
Afterwards fairy lights were seen in the mounds around the house.
Every child born in the house afterward had some defect mentally or physically. Hare lip was one peculiar affliction.
There is a quarry in gentle ground at Glenburn. - Before music was commonly played for dancing in farm houses a certain man used to have dances. He lilted for the dances a song called :-
"The charming young widow, I met in the train".
Later he married a widow.
Afterwards when he was out after twelve o'clock the fairies used follow him chanting "The charming young widow I met in the train"- Collector
