  1. The lough (Bealthick?) in Knockbrack? is said to have no bottom to it. It is supposed to be the entrance to an underground cavern.
Once a piper went down into the lough when out in a boat. He travelled on all he came right under John Hamy's (Glengad). The people in the house put their ears to the ground. They could hear him playing.
    "The further in, the deeper
The lost cow will come not again."

  2. A very strong man once lived near Malin Head. He used to amuse himself by lifting and throwing heavy weights. After he died the rattle of the rings in the weights could be heard in his house.
