  1. The Friar's cell is situated about thirty yards off the main road to Malin Head. From the outside you would think it was a large rock but it is smooth and well built inside. There are two small windows, a stone bench and a hole in the rock where the Friar slept. The door is very small and the floor is made of clay.
    Note: This cell probably dates from Penal days. It must have been used as a hiding place. This is easy to believe because the cell is impossible to detect until we reach the very entrance. U.M.M
