  1. One day a man was trying to get a comrade to help him to steal. When he was crossing the street he saw a guard in plain clothes; he asked this guard to come because he thought he was something like himself.
    The guard went on with him to see what he would do. He stayed with him three days. The first day he stole five sheep. The second day he stole £7 : 10s : 0d on of a purse and drank it.
    The third day he stole a cow. So when they were near the barricks (where the guard encouraged him) the guard put
