- There was once upon a time a man who wanted to learn to steal. And he said to a man would he teach him to steal.
The first man went into a shop and asked for a watch. The boy in the shop took down a box of watches, some were too dear for the thief and some too cheap. The thief was putting the watches up his sleeve as the shop-boy was taking them down from the shelf, so the thief said he would buy none and walked away.
