  1. There was an old man in this parish called "Den in Hilltown." His people took great care of him when he was a "wane." The fairies came and played lovely music to him at night.
    One night there came a gust of wind and "Den" "blue" out the chimney and he "wos" "niver" "saw" for a fortnight.
    One night a woman got him in "Cnoc-an-Phiobaire" and he had not a "stak" of hair on his head.
