  1. There was once a woman named "Mall" who lived in Gleneely district and she was said to be a witch and often turned herself into a hare, she was very lively and was a great thief. One day she went out to steal turnips and the owner ran to the field and was going to get her arrested when she turned into a hare and ran away. Just then she met some hunters who fired at her and broke he leg. When "Mall" got home she became herself again and was lame from that until she died.
