  1. One night a man came home from the market and he was full drunk. When he came into the house all were in bed. He had a public house and he wanted another drink. His sister bought a bottle of stuff that day to make hens "clock". Joe thought it was a bottle of whiskey and drank it. He ran to the field and got six big turnips and sat on them. The next month his sister went down to the field for a turnip for the dinner. When she came as far as the ditch she saw Joe.
