  1. Poem

A soldier and a sailor went a walking one day ¶ Said the soldier to the sailor I have a great mind to pray.

    Poem.
    A soldier and a sailor
    went a walking one day
Said the soldier to the sailor
I have a great mind to pray
I have a great mind to
for the sins of old men
And whatever I pray for you
    must say. Amen
    2
The first thing I pray will
    be for a good wife
    That I may live happy
all the days of my life
And where I have one wife
    That we may have ten
    May we never want a
good wife said the soldier. Amen
    3
    The next thing we'll pray
for will be for the Queen
    That she may live happy
