    Landlords of long ago.
    Some years ago there were
    two Landlords in this
    parish. Edward Doherty
    Glenhouse and John Loughrey
    Binion. These men
    charged very high rent
    and the small farmers
    were not able to pay
    with the result that
    John Loughrey evicted
    a good many of his
    tenants. These ere
    the black days of the
    crowbar brigade and
    battering ram.
    it was quite
    a common sight at
    that time to see John
    Bull's red coats assisted
    by the R.I.C. throwing
    the people out of their
