  1. There is a ship-wreck in the mouth of the old channel at Moville. She was sunk by a steamer and the steamer that sank the ship drove on and did not come to the rescue. The Moville stamer heard the crash and went to her rescue. They saved all the crew. The remains of that ship is there yet. She was a sailing vessel, called the Randa, and they put a buoy on top of her which they call the Wreck Buoy
