  1. My father told me that there used to be fairies in Balleighan in a place called Peggy Hart's Glen. He said that his uncle had told him about them. He and some others were swinging one day on the branch of a black sally. The branch broke and they ran away. Later they saw a wee man with a red jacket swirling a cloth around the branch. They came nearer and the little man warned them never to swing on that branch again.
