  1. Most of the holy wells in Innishowen were blessed by St. Colmcille. There is a holy well in Shrove, one in Moville, one in Turmone, and another in Leitrim which was blessed by St Ultan.
A great number of people visit Shrove well on the fifteenth of August. There is no cure at Moville well, but there is a spout at it, and very good water is got in it and it supplies the town with clean water.
The well at Turmone is on the rocks beside the sea and there are certain prayers said at it.
The well in Leitrim of St. Ultans is beside a river. A lot of people that never would have walked were taken to this this well and were cured.
