    the seagull is.-:
    "Seagull; seagull, sink in the sand. For it is the sign of bad weather when you appear on the sand"
    When fog is seen lying on the tops of mountains it is the sign of rain, but if the fog preceeds down towards the valleys it is the sign of good weather.
    Another good way of judging the weather is by the behaviour of the cat and dog, because if the cat is seen lying close to the fire with her back to it it indicates bad weather or if the dog is seen eating the grass it is also the sign of bad weather.
    If two or three birds called herons are seen flying out towards the ocean it is a true sign of good weather but if these birds are seen coming in towards the land again it is a sign that there is going to be bad weather.
