  1. The games we play at School are gable balls, hand ball, and cap ball.
In Summer we play running races, jumping and marbles. In Autumn we play tops and soldiers tig.
The way we play gable ball is each child who is playing stands in a straight line.
Someone throws the ball against the gable and shouts out the person's name he runs and picks up the ball and tries to hit me with it, and so on.
We play cap ball as follows. Each child puts his cap in a striaght line before himself and some one goes out from the cap and tries to put the ball into his own cap and if he does so he goes and catches the ball and throws it away and calls some other person's name, and that person runs and catches the ball and tries to throw it into his own cap and so on.
The way we play handball is this some one goes out of the straight line and throws the ball at those in the ring and if they cannot catch it they are put out of the ring.
Running races are played greatly in Summer when the days are nice and warm and the boys all have on light shoes on them. We get two boys of equal size and they start off running at the head
