  1. (continued from previous page)
No one has ever ventured to go into this opening. This rock is situated in the townland of Ballyrattan, in the parish of Upper Mohill, in the Barony of Inishowen, in the County of Donegal.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
  2. No fish, no flesh, no beef, no bones,
Four fingers and yet a thumb.
    A Glove.
    Long legs, crooked thighs,
    Wee head, and no eyes.
    Ans. A pair of thongs.
They pared my head, they cut my face
They took me from my dwelling place
With weary horses and tired men
They took me to my journey's end.
    Ans. A turf
No fish, no flesh, no beef, no bones,
On that day month it walked alone.
    Ans. A duck egg.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
