“On the river of Glenagannon, Carndonagh, there is a rock with a little well in the middle of it which is called the "Warty Well".”
On the river of Glenagannon, Carndonagh, there is a rock with a little well in the middle of it which is called the "Warty Well", because people get their warts cured at it if they make the Sign of the Cross three times on the warts and say three Hail Marys. In the summer time if the well happens to go dry you can lift some water out of the river and put it in the well, but the mysterious thing about it is that when you are finished the water disappears. Another thing about this well is that you are not supposed to go straight to the well but to just come on it by accident. - Informant
