    Big well field - It got its name from a large well ab out four feet deep which is in it.
    Brakeny field, because long ago it was covered with wild ferns or brakens.
    Big rock field, because there is a large rock covered with whin bushes in the south-eastern corner of it.
    Bonner's wee field, because the ruins of a house are still to be seen, where a family known as the Bonners lived about seventy years ago.
    Bog-land field, because it is a soft marshy field.
    Crafting field, because it contains good soil.
    Crowpy pairc, because it is a resting place for the crows and it is often covered with them.
    Dairy pairc, because a dairy is built at the end of it.
    Black field, because it was broken in from mossy ground.
