  1. Although the Church permits the use of milk on this day it is still a custom for the people to take black tea and diminish the bread they were accustomed to.
    I was told of an old man of this district who would go out to pray at a Mass Rock with his hands outstretched and placed in the form of a cross. It is also a custom to have all their children to go barefooted on this day and they would not eat any eggs.
