women said, "May you have good butter" but she would not say what she was told. When she was oblidged to say it she flew out the window in the form of a "pigín" and the priest said that she was a hag.

  2. Some time ago a woman was churning in this district and while she was doing so an old woman entered begging for alms. She received some money and then gave a helping hand at the churning. She stopped ten minutes and when she left the "bean a' toighe" noticed that no butter was appearing on the top of the milk. At that churning she got no butter and a few weeks later she still got none. Then she notified the priest. He came to the house and blessed her churn and in the next churning she got more butter than before.
