- There was another fort in a field adjoining the hospital which was purchased last week by Mr. Mickey McLaughlin, Bridge St, Carndonagh from Mrs. Sarah Doherty, locally known as Sarah Ned.
A few years ago a man attempted to plough near it and his sheep all died, so it is considered unlucky to interfere with it.
