All around Cabadoey I would spend all my days
Before I conclude I will explain her name
Because that I love her that beautiful dame
One half of yon mountain covered over with snow
Two thirds of yon valley where the lilies doth grow
One fourth of Mount City while sailing the seas
Her name I will tell to the boys of the Braes.
Fare you well Cabadoey that place of renown
Where mirth and diversion were always there found.
Where the youngsters each evening together do roam
I am sorry to leave them, and depart from my home.
