Then the man took the flag and put it in the same place again more carefully than he took it out. The next morning a wee fairy was seen sitting on the rocks dressed in red and the man never went near the place again.

About ninety years ago my great grand father, John Kearney, who lived in Casheleraw in the parish of Donagh, was quarrying stones in a field near the house.
