  2. In olden times all the old people were very fond of toys, and of course on that account they made a great number of them. The girls were very fond of doll-making, and and this is how they made the dolls. A small broad board had to be got, and a little hold was bored down from the top of it to the center. In this little hole a little ball of black yarn with a little stick in it was placed, then two little pieces of white cloth were made from the eyes, and two
