  1. About ninety years ago a boat from Sharagoie was lost out in lough Swilly. The boat was out cutting leathach in the month of June. A storm rose and the boat capsized and all hands were lost. Three Mc Laughlin from Sharagoie and one man from Ballyannon were lost and were not found. After the sea calmed the boat came floating into the Bay from which she left.
